A Moment, “out of grips”, a Lifetime on the Hips!

Hello Dear Ones!

Have you been one of the countless many that KNOW they should slow down when they eat, & do it more mindfully?

Has this seemed like a, “good idea”, but not necessarily one w/ immediate payoff?  Or payoff that you can physically perceive??

WELL, gather round as THIS might change your tune at the dinner table.

There is something called the Cephalic Phase Digestive Response, which is a process by which if you’re NOT paying attention to what you’re doing – the BRAIN doesn’t register that food has left the table & has indeed landed in your belly.  Meaning according to it it didn’t happen.  :O

You see, eating is a SENSORY EXPERIENCE!

Eating is SENSUAL!

The shapes, colors, moisture levels, aromas, & taste makes eating SO PLEASURABLE!!!!

(They don’t call those photos on social media food porn for nothing.)

So if we’re hastily stuffing something down our gullet as we either do something else, or rush to our next obligation – the brain misses out on the fun :(.

(WE miss out on the fun.)

And often regardless if the tummy has hit her, “perfectly full“, point – the brain will likely call out for more food – because according to it, it hasn’t actually happened.

How’s that for some motivation to SLOW DOWN & extract both more PLEASURE & sensory satisfaction from the time you dine??

Enabling your brain to track precisely with you & for you to stick the landing of satiated & NOT stuffed??

Sounds good to me!!  And if you desire a little assistance with helping you to CHILL OUT to enable said mindfulness – check out the video from last week’s post here.
