#7.3 – Alcohol

Hello My Darling!

OK! If last Wednesday’s short list of quick tips for fat loss left you wanting, hopefully TODAY will fill you to the brim with understanding & know how.

#7.3 Alcohol

Ok, so if you’ve been reading subsequent days about how to lose fat AND how to use alcohol better, we now know WHAT alcohol we might choose over another (depending on the day’s desires) & HOW to consume it better in order to feel more with less.

But the bottom line still remains that alcohol is NOT helpful for weight loss. 😂😫

Calories, blood sugar spikes & drops, & additional burden on the liver is all not awesome.

However, if you’re going to do it two main things to be mindful of (IF you’re wishing to lose weight) are:

  1. Frequency
  2. Amount

Personally I think no more than two drinks at one sitting and/or not drinking more than two times in a week seem to make consumption feel manageable for most.

(Clearly drinking less/not at all would be ideal – but if we want it AND weight loss/health, this is a good guideline.)

The reason why it’s good to have space between moments of indulging in alcohol is that because it IS a poison 😬, the liver goes on lockdown to process it and pauses metabolizing fat for the duration.

If you have less weight to lose, perhaps that’s not a mega deal. If you have more than you’d like…it’s not the most brilliant move to put fat loss on hold MUCH of the time. 😬

And that’s true – we can be mindful as heck about consumption and/OR… we can also support the other end of the equation, which is getting it out of our body FASTER!

Sweating is a great thing to do if you’re wishing to lose weight in general, and this is super useful if you’d like to get last night’s indulgence out more quickly too.

Additionally supporting the liver in a big way is SO smart for weight loss in general, and also for getting your body back to the task of metabolizing fat.
