(Insulin) Sensitive for the Season. #1

Hello Dear One!

Are you facing another Holiday Season of both excitement AND dread over all the celebrations and indulgent foods that go along with them??

If so, you are NOT alone.

There’s an average of 5 – 10 extra pounds that are gained from the one month period between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

What to do about that?

Help your body with INSULIN release and sensitivity!!

Insulin is a fat storage hormone, so the less abundant it is in your body the better.

If you’d like to do more than grin and bear it, and actually set yourself for less failure and more success – this series could offer some helpful hints.

1. SLOW YOUR ROLL

IF you’re eating carbs (especially higher glycemic ones), your blood sugar WILL rise higher faster, and more insulin will be released as a result to manage and move it.

SO, putting things on your plate and in your mouth FIRST that slows the release of blood sugar, regardless of what comes after it (see cookies, cake and pie = oh my!), will help you in your waistline effort.

What to eat first (pick at least one):

– Protein

– Fat

– Fiber

– Acid (lemon/lime juice, vinegar)

Then when you DO get to the more diabolical stuff you’ll both be a bit more full AND will have something solid to buffer that spike in blood sugar.

Which will both ensure that less belly fat is stored AND that you won’t have the boomerang hunger that a surge of insulin can cause dealing with that uber high blood sugar.

Win win.

And if you’d like to know more about a program that is ALL about helping in the insulin sensitivity effort with awareness like this item and MORE, please check out Fat Burning Mastery
