Hello Dear One!
I’m realizing that change can be one of the hardest things to not only embark upon, but also to really create.
And ONE aspect that can make it infinitely easier is putting this reality in front of one’s face.
Good Now vs Good Later.
Sometimes a choice can possess both, but sometimes it’s more of one or the other.
IF you wish to get yourself to do something that you’ve yet to do, or that feels challenging when you do it – you’ve got to add some understood benefit into your awareness.
If something is tough ONLY, then why on EARTH would you participate with such a thing??
But if there may not be Good Now, but a clear grasp on Good Later, chances are you’ll at least start to entertain the possibility of engaging w the task that will get you the outcome you desire.
One thing that often sucks about Good Now ONLY is that it’s generally riddled with regret.
AND it’s easy to lose sight of that fact when we’re only focused on the immediate.
Cookies taste GOOD!
Exercise is HARD.
Being agreeable feels EASY.
Being honest can be UNCOMFORTABLE.
If that’s where our attention stops our actions will follow suit.
But if we focus on the Good Later we will actually DO the things that are both (more than likely) in alignment with ourselves AND that will hand deliver us the results we desire.
So give yourself a moment when faced with a charged choice.
Good Now (ONLY) vs Good Later?
And if you REALLY want to propel yourself into easier action around the Good Later – really get into all the benefits that will befall you.
Recite that shit to yourself.
Like a crazy person.
Over and over.
Until that association actually BECOMES your Good Now.
