Best MCT Oil for Fat Burning

Ok!  Are you familiar with what MCT oil is, where to get it, and the fact that there’s actually a difference among them??

If not, prepare to have your mind expanded.

I’m a huge advocate of using Bulletproof Coffee as a way for my fat burners to comfortably incorporate intermittent fasting into their daily lifestyle.

(If you’d like to hear a call on that, please click here).

For ages I’ve recommended grass fed butter as the fat of choice for this beverage, but NOW I have very different feelings on the matter.

Using MCT oil has always been an option, but now I understand why, and WHICH one is best.

MCT stand for medium chain triglycerides, which speaks to the number of carbon molecules in this group (6-12).

Many know about the benefit of MCT oil, and often believe all MCT’s are equal.

They’re not.

You can get these through certain foods whose fatty acid makeup also consists of a percentage of MCT’s –  coconut oil – greater than 60%, palm oil – greater than 50%, and from dairy10-12%.

To make this short and most comprehensive, there is a, “BEST”, MCT in the realm of fat burning ad it is Caprylic AcidC8 (8 carbons).

All MCT oil that you can buy does not necessarily contain most or MUCH of this,  as it is more EXPENSIVE.

(It’s not crazy, BUT if you wish to get what you’re paying for – I’d go for it.)

BENEFITS OF CAPRYLIC ACID:

Increased fullness/lowered hunger

– because it’s quickly absorbed and quickly converted to energy, it’s less likely to be stored as fat

increases the body’s ability to burn fat and calories

– goes straight to liver = turned to instant energy or turned into ketones

– it produces ketones, which enables one to eat more carbs while still staying in a fat burning mode (!!)

reduces LDL and increases HDL cholesterol levels

lowers insulin resistance

ketones produced act as an alternative energy source for the brain, and can therefore improve brain function AND not make the brain call out for sugar when needing fuel

antibacterial and antiviral properties that balance out gut flora and support immune health

Some of these benefits are also possessed by other MCT oils, but caprylic acid is the only one that possess all in this lineup and the one that performs best, especially in the realm of fat loss with regard to fullness, ketone conversion, and brain fuel.

I’ve personally switched from using grass fed butter in my Bulletproof coffee in the morning to Brain Octane Oil, which is 100% caprylic acid.

I actually recommend many of Bulletproof’s products, and have my own link if you’d like to check that out at a discount please click here.

Would love to hear if you do check it out, and what you think ESPECIALLY if you’ve used grass fed butter in the past.
