Be as Soft to Yourself as Bunny Slippers

Hello Dear One!

Thought to share an experience I had that might be useful to you too.

A beloved Sister Goddess girlfriend suggested, “bunny slippers”, to me last week as a way to remember to be gentle w myself when dealing with something difficult.

It’s was such a genius trigger and suggestion as so often we (ME) are not always so tender when actually feeling the most delicate.

Frequently if we’re having a hard time with  ______ and as a result feeling _________ , we often get irritated or disappointed with ourselves.

We wish to not feel what feels unpleasant or uncomfortable.

We make ourselves wrong for being in the state that we’re in.

Instead of going, “bunny slippers”, on ourselves.

What if the next time we chose compassion over impatience, gentleness instead of judgement, and embracement vs rejection?

I know, I know!

We’d feel BETTER.

And things would change FASTER.

We don’t get to choose how we feel.

But we can certainly choose how we treat ourselves within how we’re feeling.

I’m so grateful that I have people in my life that remind me to be caring and loving to myself when I forget.
