8 Ingredients that Make Summertime Food Fat Burning Friendly

Hello Dear One!

If you feel like you have been shuttling yourself among cookout after cookout and are ready to give up on even semi intentional eatingFEAR NOT! 

These options could very well stay put right in your own dining room or kitchen, but they would ALSO potentially be welcome (AND DELICIOUS!) to others.

As most of us will be expected to provide some offering of summertime cookout food and fare throughout this season, I thought to share MANY substitutions you might wish to make if your waistline is also something you wish to keep in a celebratory state.

These are a few of my favorite go to’s.

– CHICKEN STOCK, vinegar, spices or salsa
  = FLAVOR without any/many calories

– LIGHT MAYO
  = For REAL!!  Half the calories, minimal/no garbage, ALL the taste

– NUTRITIONAL YEAST vs shredded cheese 
  = LOW CAL, no hormonal mumbo jumbo or food sensitivities, and IT TASTES LIKE CHEESE

– GREEK YOGURT vs sour cream or whipped cream(!)
  = the full fat version is HEAVENLY, still has less calories than what it’s replacing, and will add a ton of protein to any dish as well as be FILLING

– PUMPKIN vs sweet potatoes or white potatoes 
  = less sugar, less carbs, less calories. Still a bit starchy, filling and delicious

– APPLE SAUCE vs oil
  = wha?? Yup! Check out the recipe below

– SHIRATAKE noodles vs regular pasta
  = these things WORK as a substitute and they have NO CALORIES OR CARBS(!!!). USE THEM!

– FROZEN BANANAS, So Delicious (no sugar added) Coconut Ice Cream, or Enlightened ice Cream as ice cream alternatives 
  = these options are DELICIOUS, more filling than regular ice cream, and have infinitely less calories
