And HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

Hope you are psyched and set to have a marvelous holiday with family and/or friends.

If you are participating with more festive behavior than usual, knowing how to offset the impact of alcohol might be of use, for both your waistline and your next morning.

1. PAY FOR HIGHER QUALITY BOOZE = LESS TOXINS

A product that is distilled more times or filtered more to have less garbage in it will be of great advantage tomorrow.

In the realm of TOXINS, there’s a slightly dIfferent line up than I typically preach for calories to alcohol content.

In general sparkling wine hits #1 there (read the blogpost, “How to Drink Alcohol and Not Gain Weight”, here), but regarding TOXINS – there’s a slightly different order and it goes like this.


HIGHLY DISTILLED/FILTERED:

 – Vodka
– Gin
– Tequila
– Whiskey
– other unsweetened spirits
– Dry Cider
– THEN CHAMPAGNE
– Dry White Wine
– Liqueurs
– Colored Sweetened Spirits
– Red Wine
– BEER 

So there’s that.

2. WATER, WATER, WATER!!!!

I used to think that water was something that helped us to slow our roll, and DILUTE the effects of alcohol while drinking, but that is NOT SO.

Toxins require WATER to aid them in their departure OUT of the body, so by having a more hydrated system AND by making a point to match each boozy bevvie with a tall glass of water – you will aid your body in getting the poison (because that’s what alcohol really is) OUT of your body FASTER and more COMFORTABLY.

3. ViITAMIN C and ACTIVATED CHARCOAL

Taking a tablet of Vitamin C helps block the conversion of alcohol into the hangover causing metabolite aldehyde.

And Activated Charcoal absorbs toxins.

Aim to have a tablet with each drink, and/or use USANA’s Booster C if inclined (formulated to keep Vitamin C in bloodstream longer).

4. KEEP TAKING YOUR CELLSENTIALS and HEPASIL DTX

There are also 4 more jewels in the crown, which if you’re a Fat Burner you ALREADY use USANA’s multi vitamin and their HEPASIL DTX.

Both these supplements provide full body, hormonal, AND mega liver support in the effort to help with DETOXIFICATION which is one of the 5 parts of Fat Burning.

Drink LOADS more WATER
– add in Charcoal in while you’re imbibing

I’m particularly excited to try out using Booster C, Activated Charcoal, and drink to boatloads of water tonight while out.

I personally think alcohol is super fun and social at times.

The cost that can be incurred the next day is not.

I’m eager to try out this new strategy and see what results.
