How to Get Out of Your Comfort Zone

Hello Dear One!

Have you, like many of us, had the general understanding that, “greatness”, lies outside of our comfort zone, and that this also might be where we feel most alive?

Have you personally wished for more of that EVER?

And if so, have you wondered why you haven’t been leaping ASAP out of your comfort zone if that is the case??

It’s because what’s just outside of it SUCKS.

And it not only sucks in the, “Wow!  This is really freaking scary!”, sucks – but also in the, “I SUCK!”, sucky way.

The truth is what lies directly outside of our spot in life that feels safest and most like home is FEAR.

Fear also joined with feelings of less self confidence, where we feel worse about ourselves in general, and take other people’s opinions to heart more (sometimes over our own).

This, “Fear Zone”, is where we feel CLUELESS, and BAD at the new thing that we’re trying bravely to do.

This zone is NOT for the faint of heart.

BUT if your hunger for MORE, and the knowledge that you’re meant for it won’t leave your awareness – it makes sense to push yourself to wade into these choppy waters with the knowing there are calmer seas (AND LAND) ahead.

The next zone after the Fear Zone, is the Learning Zone.

This is another phase that STILL feels crappy, BUT we also see, “slightly”, more light at the end of the tunnel.

In the Learning Zone we are acquiring new skills, and feel more able to deal with challenging problems.  We certainly have not acquired mastery – but feel a touch more competent.  The Learning Zone still feels hard, but we have a glimmer of progress due to all our struggle and effort.

And the final zone is the Growth Zone!!!!

This is what we’ve been aimed at all along!

This was the reason why we left the comfort of our comfort zone and dragged ourselves through (what might have felt like) an eternity to get to.

The Growth Zone is where we find purpose in our life, actualize our desires, live our dreams, set even bigger goals, and FEEL ALIVE!

And the truth is the only way we get there is through learning and perseverance.  When we DO assimilate what we’ve been exposing ourselves to and KEEP TRYING – we reach this.

I hope this is useful if you are either feeling stale and stuck and WANT MORE, or if you are IN the garbage that change holds and feeling like CRAP as a result, WONDERING why you’re continuing to continue on.

PLEASE KEEP GOING.

Because you’ll never reach the MORE that is meant for you if you don’t, and you’ll never have the lit up, activated, full blown, excited, joyful, surprising (even yourself), form of you if you don’t.

Everyone benefits (most of all you) from you being a BIG BRIGHT version of yourself.

Worth every minute of the slog.
