How to Not Give Up.

Hello Dear One!

Have you ever been in the throes of creating (or giving up!) a habit – and been repeatedly side swiped by feeling like things were simply too much to handle?

Often when challenges feel beyond our ability to manage at the moment – we bear down harder…until we have to tap out.

Or sometimes we give up before even we begin.

Blah.

 

Now it is easy to confuse the opposite of control with chaos, but that’s simply not how it works.

The opposite of control is trust.

 

When we GIVE IN to (meaning to stop fighting) what’s happening that’s more than we can manage – we GET ASSISTANCE.

It can seem too scary to let go of a sense of order and control when things feel out of hand – but the truth is that act of SURRENDER is actually peace inducing and freeing.

The thing that is also super cool about GIVING IN is that you suddenly have HELP!  

Like, “This is too much for me to do alone.”, help.

Like, “I don’t know how to do this.”, help.

How helpful are those kinds of help?

They’re the best kind of help.

It’s the win win, less effort, more ease, miracles are happening – kind of help.

So if you’re ever faced with something that feels HARD, instead of throwing in the towel (which will simply keep you on the never ending merry go round of trying harder and giving up and feeling like you just have to try harder and then wanting to give up…)…

GIVE IN.

SURRENDER.

To something Higher.  A Higher part of yourself.

 

Or even OTHERS!

Help is always there when we need it and UNDENIABLY so when we ask.
