Hello Dear One!
How ARE you spending New Years Eve this year??
Are people going out? Having a quiet and small gathering at home?
Intending on it being wild and celebratory, or sacred and full of intention?
My advice to myself (and anyone who wishes to listen) is to make this New Years Eve YOURS.
What’s expected or customary might NOT be what you want most.
It can take a little time to sort out that making roasted chicken, skipping alcohol, writing down and burning what you want to let go of, taking a bath and going to bed EARLY might actually be what sounds RIGHT for you.
Or something radically different.
But make sure you sort it out.
Give yourself a moment for that and then GO!
Something I’ve been guilty of in the past is just showing up but not being ALL IN in my moment.
A warm body but not a full blown participant claiming this time as MINE.
And while that may involve less “risk” = effort, exposure, investment, disapproval, standing out…
It is also WAY less fun.
Caring IS cool.
Giving a shit about where we are and what we’re doing makes EVERYONE’S time better.
It makes MEMORIES!
And it makes us feel alive.
So whether you’re with others or alone – let’s DO IT!
And set a high octane and vibrant tone for this New Year that’s nearly here.
And PS: DRY CHAMPAGNE is the best alcohol to calorie ratio if you ARE imbibing AND considering your waistline!
To getting you clearer on how the body works, and how to make it work for you.
