Hello Dear One!
What seductive and toxic substance do I speak of?
SUGAR!!!
If we all know that ALCOHOL is TRULY no bueno – are we also as clear that the body sees sugar in the same light?
Alcohol and sugar are both 100% energy and completely void of nutritional value.
The body sees both as poison and they truly wreck havoc on our systems, mood, functioning (especially our BRAIN), health and LIFESPAN.
“Added sugar is one of the worst and most toxic ingredients in the Western diet. It can have harmful effects on our metabolism and contribute to the development of numerous serious health conditions and diseases. Too much sugar is harmful to the body and promotes inflammation and disease. A recent study shows evidence linking sugar consumption and breast cancer. Sugar consumption is also a major risk factor for the development of other health conditions such as obesity and heart disease.”
– Huff Post
I thought to voice this because consuming sugar can be filed under the, “I KNOW, I KNOW!”, category which can feel burdensome AND that’s also super easy to ignore.
Sugar will cause weight gain, inflammation, increase the risk for diabetes, cancer, heart disease and increase the likelihood of alzheimers (also called type 3 diabetes).
And it’s along a continuum.
Frequently eating cookies, soda, candy, sweets, putting sugar in our coffee, eating any type of type of baked good imaginable can seem BENIGN – because it’s literally everywhere.
Add to that the addictive nature and the fact that most of us run on it.
SO.
Since we’re now even clearer as to how gnarly this substance really is…
(Quick, Easy, Delicious – Pick 3! This soup rocks! Check it out for yourself or on my live video on Facebook last week.)
The TWO BIG ALTERNATIVES I’d like to offer are:
#1. SUGAR ALTERNATIVES (ANY form – honey, maple syrup, agave, raw sugar)
Two of the best alternatives in my opinion are:
– STEVIA
– MONKFRUIT
These two sweeteners have no calories or carbohydrates (you’re welcome waistline and HEALTH) AND they’re good to our gut (vs sugar alcohols like erythritol, maltitol, xylitol…)
Please use them!!!
They can make for a streamlined, comfortable and tasty replacement that feels deprivation free.
#2. CRAVING FREE
Easier said than done?
NOT if you get your body into a Fat burning mode.
If you’re running on carbs/sugar it’s kind of automatic to crave sugar.
But if you’re running on fat it’s NOT.
Pleases check out Fat Burning PRO and Fat Burning Mastery for insight to what’s entailed to get you unhooked from the diabolical substance THAT WE ALL LOVE so you can have it at times.
(Gave a quick review of this product on Facebook this week. Read more on the science behind Calm Response, or more details on this, “Calm on Contact”, product.)
Not NEED it ALL the time.
To getting you clearer on how the body works, and how to make it work for you.
