Hello Dear One!
Do you assume that HUNGER has to be involved when wishing to lose weight?
Have you attempted a variety of times to follow a diet that simply didn’t feel like enough food, and rationalize that what was mapped out, “should”, be enough or attempt to muscle yourself into slumber despite being HUNGRY?
If weight loss is the goal, and eating less calories than what your body requires results in dropping pounds…

NO.
It absolutely does NOT have to be.

The two types of FUEL for the body are either CARBS or FAT.
Most of the planet runs on carbs which contributes to the bulk of weight gain, poor health, inflammation, energetic crashes, and unstable blood sugar induced mood swings that many deal with.
Carbohydrates as a fuel source are fleeting as we only get access to a tiny reserve before our body calls out for MORE FOOD.
Fat is the alternative which can help train the body to run on it dietarily as well as what’s on our frame.
Running on fat helps with comfortable weight loss, lowers inflammation in the body, tends to enable the slowing of aging, gives us an abundant supply of energy throughout the day, and helps steady our moods as worrying about blood sugar isn’t really much a of a deal in this camp.
So if FAT is the better fuel source – shouldn’t we eat MOSTLY that?
Not quite.
We need ALL the macronutrients ultimately – BUT in this scenario, fat has some disadvantages too.
Fat IS filling – but it can take a WHILE to hit the top of the tank.
It’s super easy to eat a LOT of fat without blinking an eye (how many calories are in a TBS of olive oil??).
So as fabulous as Fat is for fuel, it goes BEST paired with other things.
PROTEIN is a marvelous next addition as it helps to ANCHOR food in our belly.
The body NEEDS to eat the protein it requires for repair and generation of ALL types of tissue in the body, hormone manufacturing, as well as other metabolic reactions.
If you don’t EAT enough protein your body will keep asking for MORE FOOD until it’s satisfied.
It’s actually hard to overeat on protein due to how substantial it feels in the belly.
So make sure you have an adequate amount to create a kill switch on your appetite.
Lastly we have FIBER!
Fiber is filling!
Fiber contains few calories for the amount of FOOD and feeling of BULK that you receive.
Fat Burners find fiber in non starchy vegetables (please pass on the potatoes, parsnips, and sweet squash).
