Ok, so if you’ve ever wished to lose weight chances are FASTER would be BETTER!
Many approaches get half of this equation correct, but most fail in WORKING BOTH ENDS of the extreme approach they’re taking AND hoping to create.
FASTEST WAY TO LOSE WEIGHT:
**Give your body the smallest amount of calories it will tolerate, and then periodically give it SPIKES of CALORIES (and often) CARBS (if you’ve really been dialing it back in that department as well).
What most people do to DIAL BACK the calories, and often carbs, INDEFINITELY.
Less of both IS generally useful to drop pounds rapidly, but if you’ve ever taken this approach and experienced FOREVER HUNGER, going to bed with a rumbly tummy, AND had weight loss SLOW, STALL, or STOP – this is why.
When we greatly reduce calories and/or carbs a hormone called LEPTIN FALLS.
This hormone is super consequential in the realm of helping us to feel full on less food as well as be with comfortable weight loss.
When Leptin gets beyond a certain threshold our body feels like it might be at risk of starving, as we’ve indicated that there isn’t much food available.
The last thing it will then want to do is let go of weight.
So in that effort it will slow our metabolism and potentially even break muscle down to get to more fuel (stored glucose).
BUT if we give our body periodic spikes of Calories and Carbs, Leptin will be RESET!
Then when we dial it back to LESS Calories and Carbs the body will continue it’s weight loss party.
